Olof walked into his first boxing session when he was 12 years old and boxing and combat sports soon became a passion. He competed on the amateur boxing circuit from an early age and, most notably, fought against Fredrik Alvarez, the former WBF World Champion.
Olof has boxed in many countries, including the legendary 5th Street Gym in Miami under the guidance of Beau Jack, a world lightweight champion in the 1950s.
Following a boxing tour in Thailand, Olof went on to Sydney where he was offered the chance to turn professional. He was taken under the wing of Johnny Lewis, the premier boxing coach in Australia and coach of former world champions Kostya Tszyu and Jeff Fenech. Unfortunately, health issues halted his progression into the professional ranks.
During the last 10 years, alongside training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling and MMA, Olof has focused on teaching MMA fighters how to strike, and applying boxing techniques and theories to MMA.
He has been the coach of James Evans-Nicholle, a Cage Rage veteran with notable wins against Paul Daley and Suley Mahmoud, and undefeated MMA fighter Matt Chapman (7-0). Currently, Olof is working with top female MMA fighter Danielle West.
